Notes

Note
!Some information on Johns family came from Loretta "Jay " Davis. He lived

in Lewisburg Tennessee. He was living in Randolph Co, Arkansas in 1840 and

record shows he had a wife and two daughters. He was married at that time to

Lucinda Murray and had three children. In 1850 He was living in Taney Co,

Missouri and had three daughters and possible one son. In 1860 He was in

Marshall Co, Tennessee and had two sons. In 1864 He moved to Illinois and had

another son. After that he moved back to Missouri. Was in Stone Co, Missouri

With Sarah as wife in 1870 census, & 1880. As you can see he moved arround and

changed wives several times. When he was 72 John and Sarah were visiting sick

relatives and were coming home, when a storm came up. Lightning was pretty

fierce and a branch of a tree was was struck by the lightning and the branch

fell on old John's head. The family said that he was never the same after

that. He may have been put in a asylum in Arkansas. It is unknown if died in

Arkansas or Missouri. He worked as a Surver and survered Arkansas. This

might account for him moving so much. He was married to Sarah by

A. Blythe J. P.
